u obviously didnt read the original News thing .... NC soft signed exclusive with Sony to produce for the PS3 & PSP... so i doubt we will be seeing any Xbox 360 games anytime in near future before they atleast show commitment to Sony contract.

As far as the games its very interesting to think which ones they ll be as right now NCsoft doesnt really have this HUGE list of games under its belt. Im guessing that most of the games will be new, and will probably be original titles. However GW for console not out of question im sure but a lil far since NC soft seen fail in TR they re bankin a bit now on GW2 which is its current success franchise thats actually growing not shrinking like lineage and a few others ... but initially i think the first 2-3 NC titles that would come from already been done games will be something like EXTEEL 2, Tabula Rasa, CoX.

Heres why, recently with NCsoft buying the IP of CoX it gives them full control , as well as theyve promised some big things comin from that game in the future... mainly meant for online but i wouldnt rule out console especially since CoX is one of the older NCsoft Franchises tha broke the mold.. familiarity rocks in the industry when deciding to buy a game.

Tabala Rasa bc well so far its not delivered quite what it was expected though im sure since its still recently released we ll see alot of changes that will help its PC gaming over the next yr or so... but with the success of games like HALO 3, CoD 4, UT3, Mass Effect etc ... going to console would be ideal for them as theres a base already being marketed too and doing well.

Exteel only bc since it was supposed to be release a cpl yrs ago, and didnt get put live til last month ... Mech games do well on consoles so update graphics, new system, again shooter type ... u now have a rival to Mech Console games like Armored Core and Mech warrior in some ways.

And i ll end this on a totally speculated note here ..... http://www.carbinestudios.com/ as it is right now this project has been very secret but theres no doubt that the starting team is very experienced in both PC and Console gaming .... They are working on an MMO and that is the most thats known

Well now thats what i was waiting for! Thanks! That is a good amount of info and answers all my questions but that same time creates more but unfortuneatly i fear we dont have the answers right now.

Its not neck and neck, its winning isnt it? More expensive players and its still selling more? 2/1 unit sales and more backing all the time. OF course its way to early to say who will win but i still think blu ray has a advantage... but this is sony lol. Im sure they will find a way to mess it up

but with the backing of Microsoft in the HD DvD corner, thats the entire Windows range covered aswell... And as the Xbox 360 Works on any XP or Vista PC, its a cheap way of adding HD DvD to any windows based PC already

A good point for sure, i wasnt aware windows was on HD dvd tbh. Also the HD dvd drive is a fantastic value for like 150 bucks and a few free movies. I think if the 360 had had an HD DVD drive it would have won almost certainly

I configured my Xbox 360 controller to work with Guild Wars, so I'm getting a kick out of this thread.

Also: Right now the PS3 supports Linux, KB&M, and there is a way to rig GW to work in Linux. I'm not clear on the details, but would that not mean that it is already possible to play GW on a PS3? I honestly have no idea how that all works.

Very insightful and adds lots to the discussion. It should also be noted that the ps3 doesnt suck anymore lol. I think that we are going to see more and more consoles get mmo's cause consoles sell more units on average than PC games.

Interesting opinion. I believe the PS3 has somewhat better specs that aren't being used by anyone or any games for the console and is made by a company that hates its own customers (eg spending millions on copy protection crap that doesn't work against anybody except their own loyal customers who then have to pay for all that).

I am sure the PS3 is a fine machine in some ways but the fact that Sony makes it is enough reason for me to say that if GW were ever to become solely available on the PS3 that alone would be enough reason for me to stop playing. Sony have proved time and again that they mistreat their own customers and charges them for it to add insult to injury. No matter how nice the machine is, I will not support that. And though I know other companies aren't the greatest humanitarians all the time either these guys certainly stand out to me.

I would imagine that if Sony were to find out that a PS3 could be rigged like that someone would commit suicide at their office. Playing games on a PS3 that are not being played directly from a slow turning, copyrighted disc in the blu-ray drive? Oh my god....and they so try to keep you from doing that!!!

PS: Anybody know how many stripped PS3's Sony has to sell before they can turn a profit from it?

i cant imagine gw being on a console jsut cuz of the voice chat system. sure u can turn on vent on ur computer, but hwo inconveniet would it be to do pvp like that, with the game on the tv and vent on computer, esp for peopel whose systems and computers are not in the same room.

I would love it if GW (or GW2) cane to PS3/Xbox360 (or next gen console). Not because i would play it on them, but it massively adds to the amount of players. Plus they can run pc games and blue ray sells far batter than hd. HD is always behind except when transformers came out on dvd (reached 50/50 then)
